Tim Anderson

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Tim Anderson and I love studying and talking about human behavior. After studying Sociology and Psychology in College, I entered the work force with no idea what I was doing. I spent 4 years in Software Licensing Sales followed by 4 years in Technical Support, and currently I’m lucky to lead a team of badass customer support technicians. You’ll quickly notice that I’m not a Doctor. I’m an ordinary guy who goes to work every day. I’m working on being more disciplined in every aspect of my life with the goal of spending more time with my family.

I decided to start this blog to fill a gap in resources on the internet. There are a ton of websites about motivation and there is a ton of research towards accomplishing and setting goals. Whether you’re trying to pay off debt, lose weight, or develop your career, the internet is filled with great resources on how to get started – but then what? There doesn’t seem to be many places dedicated to continuing success, or learning self discipline. There are a lot of individual plans, but they all require a level of self discipline. The goal of this blog is to help others, and myself, continue to learn and develop self discipline. There are no secrets to hard work, but there sure is a lot of people selling “snake oil” systems.

Discipline is nothing more than training yourself to produce an expected outcome or behavior. Every decision you make toward accomplishing your goals requires discipline. Walking past a doughnut and not grabbing one requires some motivation – but doing it the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 100th time requires discipline. I’m hoping that this blog will prove as a resource for those looking to change some behavior in their lives. We will go into the psychology of the brain, the different aspects of culture, aspects of productivity, and even some physiological systems of the human body.

Thank you again for visiting. Please feel free to reach out to me on twitter with any feedback or questions @timanderson_.
